Cheers! Finding the yummiest adult beverages at Disney World

News, Food, Orlando travel and vacation planning tips, Walt Disney World, What's going on in Orlando?
Not everyone visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth comes with kids. Disney World gets many adult-only groups and sometimes those visitors want a yummy adult beverage. Let’s be honest, sometimes when traveling with kiddos, the adults just need to sip on a cold cocktail too! While Disney’s California cousin Disneyland won’t serve alcohol until Star Wars opens in 2019, Orlando’s Disney World does offer alcoholic beverages at its parks. Here’s some of the best drinks Disney has to offer those over 21.

Magic Kingdom

House-Made Sangria: At the Magic Kingdom, alcoholic beverages are only served at sit-down restaurants. Don’t miss trying the pretty pink house-made sangria at the Plaza Restaurant. It includes Kenwood sauvignon blanc and pineapple juice, as well as spices and fresh fruit.

Shandy: Step back in time and belly up to a table at the Liberty Tree Tavern for classic American fare. If you’re of age, order the Shandy, a refreshing combination of UFO Hefeweizen and lemonade.

Fiesta Margarita: Take a break from your world travels at Epcot and take a little siesta in the Mexico pavilion. La Cava del Tequila serves up one of the best margaritas this side of the border. The Fiesta Margarita features layers of frozen lime, frozen mango-passion fruit and frozen strawberry prickly pear margarita. This colorful drink is sure to quench your thirst.

La Cava Avocado: If you’re more of a margarita purist, opt for the La Cava Avocado, also from La Cava del Tequila. It takes a classic margarita and gives it a twist, adding fresh avocado to the mix. The drink also has tequila blanco, melon liqueur, agave nectar and fresh lime juice, topped with a hibiscus salt rim.

Orange Slush: Classy and cool, the Orange Slush from Les Vins des Chefs de France is a must-have when at Epcot. The slushy includes Grand Marnier, rum, Grey Goose orange and orange juice, perfect for a hot day.

BaseLine Tap House Beer Flights: If you’re feeling indecisive, try one of the beer flights from BaseLine Tap House at Hollywood Studios and try several beers at once. With over 126 craft beers on the menu and the option for four beers in each flight, the possibilities are endless!

Snow Leopard Salvation: A nod to the classic mule, the Snow Leopard Salvation at the Nomad Lounge delivers ice-cold and bubbly refreshment for those simmering Florida days. The drink combines vodka with pear liqueur, lime juice and ginger beer, accented with fresh mint.

Pineapple Dole Whip Cup with Rum: While the kids enjoy the virgin version of the yummy pineapple Dole Whip, ask for yours with rum. Served at Tamu Tamu Refreshments in the Harambe Market, the pineapple Dole Whip has two adult-only versions. One comes with dark rum or you can choose the tropical coconut rum.

Disney Springs and Disney Resorts

Lava Flow: If you love pina coladas, you’ll love the refreshing Lava Flow drink at T-Rex in Disney Springs. The frosty marbled drink mixes coconut rum, Tropics pina colada and strawberry puree for a cool and sweet treat.

Glow-Tini: As pretty as it is delicious, the Glow-Tini will light up your night in more ways than one! With three different liquors — citrus vodka, peach schnapps and blue curacao — you’ll be feeling relaxed in no time. The pineapple juice and sugared rim add a sweet touch and glow cube (yours to keep!) is a nice touch. You can sip on the Glow-Tini at any of the Disney World Resort lounges.

Miriam’s Coffee Stout: If a frosty pint of your favorite brew is more your style, head over to Raglan’s in Disney Springs. They offer numerous craft beer options, but their Miriam’s Coffee Stout is one of the most popular.
