You’ve watched all the movies (more than once!), you know the entire back story of all your favorite characters and wake up each morning in your Darth Vader sheets. In 2019, you can take your love for Star Wars to the next level when the new franchise-themed attraction opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Florida. Galaxy’s Edge opens  late Fall 2019 at Disney World, letting you live out your dreams of experiencing a galaxy far, far away.

At Disneyland, the Star Wars attraction will be just north of Frontierland. The Disney World attraction will take up most of what used to be the Streets of America at Hollywood Studios.

Once you step foot on Planet Batuu, you’ll come face-to-face with BB-8, Chewbacca and other members of the First Order. Get your autograph pad and iPhone ready – like other Disney characters, they’ll be on hand for pictures and autographs. This is your chance to wear those Jedi robes or Stormtrooper helmets without fear of teasing – dressing up is not only encouraged but celebrated!

Immerse yourself in the Star Wars™ world

The Star Wars attraction at both parks will be anchored by two main signature attractions – the Millenium Falcon and Star Destroyer. Strap on your pilot helmet and get ready to blast through hyperspace – the first attraction puts you in the pilot’s seat to steer the Millennium Falcon, earning bonus galactic points for completing the mission successfully. You’ll encounter enemy ships and space hazards as you weave your way through the galaxy. On the second, un-named attraction, it’s you, the First Order and the Resistance engaged in an intense battle inside the hanger of a Star Destroyer. You’ll be immersed in the Star Wars world, interacting with all your favorite characters.

All that battling, flying and galaxy-saving is sure to work up an appetite and thankfully, Oga’s Cantina in the Black Spire Outpost is open for business. Sip on a glass of blue milk, just like Luke Skywalker in Episode IV – A New Hope or choose one of the other unique concoctions to whet your whistle. The cantina will also offer delicious dishes, served up with a Star Wars twist. Disneyland’s Oga’s cantina will be the first establisment to serve alcoholic beverages in that park. Before you leave, you’ll want to stock up on fun merchandise from the exotic marketplace. Browse the booths and stalls, finding new and unique Star Wars-themed products to take home as a reminder of your awesome adventures.

When you leave the park, you don’t have to leave the Star Wars fun behind – the attraction at Disney World in Orlando will also include a themed hotel. Step from the park into the starship-themed Star Wars hotel, where you’ll find your favorite characters around every corner. Every detail at the hotel transports you right into the movies with cool features in the rooms, restaurants and main spaces.

Can’t wait that long?

Before both parks open, you can get a taste at Star Wars Launch Bay found at both the Florida and California parks.
