As we all know, 2020 has been a challenging year for everybody. Not only the effect on all our personal lives but also the economic impact was something no one had ever seen before. We were forced to cut down on expenses and focus only on the most necessary tasks.
This relative downtime was followed immediately with an extreme surge in bookings at the end of 2020 and then again during Spring Break this year, with multiple homes fully booked for weeks on end. Even now, we are experiencing demand levels that are higher than before.
All this usage had a toll on many of our vacation homes. Elevated wear and tear, combined with postponed maintenance due to Covid-19 and a lot of bookings, is the reason why we have started our newest property project: The Casiola Love Project. We assembled a dedicated team with a Project Manager and several Maintenance Techs, who are meticulously going through 4-5 homes a week to fix all issues and bring all our homes back up to standard.
We already started with the homes that required the most attention and the results are great: guests are giving us very positive feedback. You will be contacted by your owner relations manager before we start on your home.
